A 'chatty' letter from cousin Nellie asking about her brother's share of the rents on family property, and discussing West Ford. She asks: 'Will you get West's note, for Brother's share of the rent of this year (1843) or the money [?] And my note for my part, as I have agreed to wait for his convenience to pay me." She continues: "At your earliest convenience please let me know respecting Remington. I received the 'Sequel.' I am obliged to you for your trouble in getting it and kindliness in sending it. If I should not see you prior to my departure from this country, I will hand the money you paid for it to your mother and Brother I suppose it is ten cents. . . . We have had quite pleasant holy days ay Tho's somewhat lessened by cousin Rebecca's sickness of which you have doubtless already been advised of. . . . Your cousin Nellie and [Felicia??]'
